Random Sounds is a music tech company focused on digital distribution founded in Paraguay in 2014. Their B2B white label distribution software for music distributors and record labels provides DIY catalog management, quality control tools, real time analytics, royalty reporting and payouts. With a focus on transparency and anti-fraud policies, they have built software to empower independent companies across the globe.
WIN Supporters is a program available to those who want to support WIN’s work, champion the global independent music sector, and engage with its entrepreneurs in a sustainable and mutually beneficial way. The program offers unique benefits that complement the Friends, Partners, Affiliate and Associate membership schemes run by WIN members, which businesses are also encouraged to explore and join for additional ways to engage with the independent community.
Random Sounds joined the WIN Supporters program when it was launched in 2024. It is a founding member of AMI Paraguay, WIN’s Paraguayan trade association, as well as a member of Merlin and A2IM. In December 2025, Random Sounds sponsored the WINHUB x Fluvial event held in Valdivia, Chile.
We spoke with Random Sounds’ Founder and CEO Mark Meyer about how technology can empower independents, the importance of collaboration, and their vision for the future of the sector:
How are your services adapted to meet the specific needs of independent music companies?
We are a company that was born as an independent distributor, and all the technological infrastructure we have built was designed with the needs of companies like ours. We know that the independent sector finds value not only in distribution agreements and access to global DSPs, but also in transparency, traceability, and the ability to adapt to the strategies that new consumption habits demand.
Our white-label platform is made up of functional modules for the distribution business, with the following key highlights:
• Asset and user management, with specific features that support the adoption of distribution strategies (cascade releases) and royalty splitting (automatic splits among users).
• Royalty reporting and payments, making it possible to track every cent generated on platforms and automatically disburse payments to users according to customized or general contracts, with no need for manual processes.
• Daily analytics on trends and anomalous activitywithin the distributed catalog, in real time.
• Quality control prior to delivering assets to platforms.
• Differentiated dashboards with specific features for end users and administrators.
We take pride in offering a service that goes beyond technology, one that also guarantees specialized support from a team with over a decade of industry experience and expertise in migration processes, conflict resolution, and strategy.
How does being a WIN Supporter connect with your long-term vision as a company?
Being part of the WIN Supporters program allows us to actively participate in an ecosystem of partners and stakeholders who work collaboratively to transform the industry, through annual gatherings and opportunities for commercial and strategic exchange.
We believe that global leadership in the independent sector is built through local impact, and WIN embodies exactly that philosophy. Since becoming members at the very start of this program, we have participated in networking events, connecting with potential clients and industry players who bring valuable insights to every stage of the independent sector’s value chain.
Being a WIN Supporter means empowering our own vision: to lead the transformation of the music industry by bringing together talent, technology, and meaningful opportunities, with local roots and global reach.
How do you think technology and innovation can better serve independent artists and labels?
Independent companies need tools and services to compete in the marketplace, so we made it our mission to bring these to life to empower independent companies around the globe.
Investing in specialized platforms like Random Sounds White Label helps reduce the operational burden associated with digital distribution, provides access to data that validates or rules out strategies, and enables monitoring consumption trends. We are a company that operates as an independent since day 1, and talks with independent companies and artists every day. We build and expand the tools that the market actively requests us to, to accompany our clients at every stage of their growth.
Can you share a moment or project where you saw the impact of collaboration with independents
Collaboration among independents has allowed us to bring our own national industry to international visibility. Through the creation of associations such as AMI Paraguay, of which we are founding members, we have reached international markets and collaborated with dozens of independent companies. There is a clear before and after this formalization, and that same principle is what we apply in our technological offering: when independents organize, share tools, and act with strategic vision, the results are transformative.
Collaboration with independents is key for our company mission. We are active on WIN’s LatAm Network and Streaming Group, members of Merlin since 2018, members of A2IM since 2023, members of MFFA since 2025, and contribute to the creation of new independent trade associations.
We believe that every independent distributor, regardless of their size or country of origin, should have access to a technological infrastructure to compete with the majors.
We thank Random Sounds for their ongoing support as a WIN Supporter and look forward to working together to further strengthen and unite the independent music community worldwide.
