WIN Travels to Indonesia for First Official Visit to Southeast Asia

WIN CEO Noemí Planas will travel to Bali, Indonesia from August 28-31 to attend the AXEAN Festival, marking WIN’s first official visit to Southeast Asia, a region where the global independent music network does not yet have official representation.

Launched in 2020 by music professionals across Southeast Asia, AXEAN Festival is a music export platform combining a conference and a showcase festival. Across its six editions to date, it has attracted 240 delegates from 32 countries, including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Planas will be joined by Yushi Yamashita, Takayuki Morinaka, and Yukihide Hirata, members of the Japanese trade association IMCJ. APAC Alliance member Aaron Winning (Thailand) will also be in attendance. They will engage with Southeast Asian delegates to deepen their knowledge of ASEAN markets, build new connections, and promote association-building in the region.

On Sunday, August 30, Planas will speak on the panel “From Prompt to Release: An AI Checklist for Artists and Music Teams”, taking place at the Jimbaran Hub. The WIN delegates will also host a networking lunch for ASEAN independent labels.

This trip is part of the BRIDGE project to strengthen independent music businesses and address the digital divide across regions. BRIDGE activities in Indonesia are supported by Merlin, the digital music licensing partner for independents globally.
