APAC Alliance

The APAC Alliance is the regional working group promoted by WIN to identify challenges, promote dialogue and collaboration, and create opportunities for independent music businesses and their trade associations in Asia-Pacific.

The APAC Alliance is a regional working group driven by WIN and the Asia-Pacific independent music trade associations IMCJ (Japan), LIAK (South Korea), SIMCA (South India), AIR (Australia), and IMNZ (New Zealand); and guest companies from territories without a trade association (China, Singapore, North India and more).

The LatAm Network’s main objectives are:

  • Build bridges of understanding and cooperation between the territories.
  • Develop new associations in countries without grouped representation.
  • Foster the professionalization and capacity building of independent phonographic producers.
  • Promote the value of independent music businesses and their trade associations.

The group addresses how the Asia-Pacific music industry can better connect with the world and unlock its potential of the through increased knowledge and cooperation.

Its official launch took place in 2021 during the first Asia Pacific Music Summit, a vitural event organised by IMCJ with the support of WIN. The group meets at least twice a year and its first face-to-face meeting was held in Tokyo in October 2023.
